The CTW01 is a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of Canada’s soldiers. Inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields by LCol McCrae written in 1915 during the First World War, it blends rugged tool-watch design with meaningful details — from its hand-painted dial to its engraved Canadian Expeditionary Force caseback. Limited to 30 pieces.

    Hand Stitched by Poppy Straps in Pembroke ON. Each strap is crafted from genuine vintage Canadian military canvas backed onto premium leather for longevity. Sourced from original WW2 military canvas. 

  • Hand Painted Dial

    A unique hand-painted dial by award winning Canadian Artist (adeptus.artistus on instagram) inspired by the headstones at the modern day memorial in Flanders. Subtle variations created through the painting process make every CTW01 a unique piece of remembrance.

  • Canadian Expeditionary Force Caseback

    Turn the watch over and the story continues. The engraved caseback features the Canadian Expeditionary Force maple leaf surrounded by Canadian First World War Battle Honours — a permanent tribute to service, sacrifice and courage.

    At the heart of the CTW01 is the trusted NH35 automatic movement, chosen for its reliability, durability and ease of service. Powered by movement rather than a battery, it was designed to be worn for years to come.

WHY WE BUILT IT

Most of our watchmaking team are Canadian Armed Forces veterans. We wanted to create something that could be built here in Canada and carry meaning beyond its function as a watch. The CTW01 – In Flanders Fields is a tribute to those who served, those who sacrificed, and the responsibility carried by future generations to remember them.
