Reinterpreting the GPHG-winning Blue Planet lineage, the Blue Planet · Gilded Age represents CIGA Design's first expression in pure gold. It fuses a micro-engraved 24K gilded Earth dial, a refined black ceramic case, and Swiss movement innovation into a single timepiece.

Key Features & Design Highlights

24K Gold Micro-Engraved Dial:

The dial reproduces Earth's topography with faithful continent-to-ocean ratios and realistic altitude. Each dial undergoes a 4-step, 68-hour process:

1. Initial CNC Engraving: Over 18 hours using a 0.07 mm cutting bit at 20,000 RPM.

2. Protective Coating: Application of a corrosion-resistant black ink layer. 

3. Fine Detailing: Secondary CNC engraving with a 0.05 mm cutting head over 6 hours. 

4. Multi-Layer 24K Gilding: Ion electroplating finished with a pure 24K gold layer.

Innovative Asynchronous-Follow Display:

Replaces conventional hands by utilizing the Earth terrain dial itself to indicate time. Adjusted gear ratios allow the static reference point to trace both hours and minutes simultaneously as the globe rotates—mirroring Earth's natural motion.

Refined Polished Ceramic Case:

Formed from zirconia powder, the lugless, rounded black ceramic case undergoes precision injection molding, 144 hours of sintering at 1,500°C, machining, and over 200 hours of hand-polishing to deliver a deep gloss finish.

Enhanced 3D Visual Curvature:

Protected under a double-curved domed sapphire crystal. The crystal curvature is increased by 25% and Earth’s curvature is exaggerated by 36% for an immersive 3D view.

Packaging:

Delivered in a booklet-style gift box crafted entirely from premium recycled paper.
